October 15, 2021
MLAN

Milan Laser, which owns and operates laser more than 130 hair removal clinics in the US, filed on Friday with the SEC to raise up to $100 million in an initial public offering.

Milan Laser believes that it is revolutionizing the aesthetics industry as the largest company in the US that focuses solely on laser hair removal services, by both revenue and number of clinics. It states that unlike many of its independent competitors who often employ beauticians and aestheticians, all of its treatments are performed by highly-trained medical or laser technician professionals using FDA-cleared lasers. The company had 132 clinics across 23 states as of June 30, 2021, and has completed more than 500,000 treatments since 2017.

The Omaha, NE-based company was founded in 2012 and booked $114 million in revenue for the 12 months ended June 30, 2021. It plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol MLAN. Milan Laser filed confidentially on August 12, 2021. Goldman Sachs and Jefferies are the joint bookrunners on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
