Singaporean education platform Genius Group files for a $49 million US IPO

Genius Group, a global provider of online and in-person entrepreneur education services, filed on Tuesday with the SEC to raise up to $49 million in an initial public offering.

Genius Group is an entrepreneur education technology company with approximately 1.8 million students in 200 countries spanning all age groups. The company aims to provide students with leadership, entrepreneurial and life skills, which is believes are necessary for success in today's market. Its growth model is to acquire accredited schools, colleges, and universities, and then integrate their accredited courses into its Edtech platform. 

The Singapore, Singapore-based company was founded in 2015 and booked $24 million in sales for the 12 months ended December 31, 2021. It has not yet selected an exchange or symbol (RC ticker: GNUS.RC). Genius Group filed confidentially on April 6, 2021. ThinkEquity is the sole bookrunner on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
