RealD, which licenses 3D visual display technologies to motion picture exhibitors, raised $200 million on Thursday by offering 12.5 million shares at $16.00, above the $13.00 to $15.00 proposed range. Altogether, the company raised nearly a third more proceeds than the previously anticipated $150 million. RealD is expected to begin trading Friday on the NYSE under the symbol RLD. J.P. Morgan and Piper Jaffray acted as lead managers on the deal.
