LRI Holdings, which operates the Logan's Roadhouse restaurant chain, filed on Monday with the SEC to raise up to $200 million in an initial public offering. The Nashville, TN-based company opened its first restaurant in Lexington, KY in 1991 before listing as a public company from 1995 to 1999 and becoming a subsidiary of Cracker Barrel from 1999 to 2006. Logan's Roadhouse is currently owned by a group of private equity investors including BRS, Black Canyon and Canyon Capital that acquired the company in December 2006. The chain operates 211 locations and booked $548 million in sales for the 12 months ended May 2nd, 2010. It plans to list on the NASDAQ under the symbol LGNS with Credit Suisse as the lead underwriter on the deal. Pricing terms and timing were not disclosed.
