Artio Global Investors, a carve out of Julius Baer's asset management business, announced terms for its IPO on Wednesday. The New York, NY-based company plans to raise $585 million by offering 23.4 million shares at a price range of $24.00 to $26.00. At the mid-point of the proposed range, Artio Global Investors will command a market value of $1.5 billion. Artio Global Investors, which was founded in 1962 and booked $312 million in sales over the last 12 months, plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol ART. Goldman Sachs is set to be the lead underwriter on the deal, which is expected to price during the week of Sept. 21.
