Software provider SolarWinds files for IPO

SolarWinds, a leading provider of enterprise-class network management software, filed with the SEC for an IPO on Friday. The company, which booked $62 million in revenue in 2007, will apply to list its common stock on the NYSE under the ticker SWI. J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers are the lead underwriters on the deal. No terms were disclosed in the initial filing.
