American Public Education, which provides online postsecondary education directed at the needs of the military and public service communities, set the terms for its IPO on Thursday. The West Virginia-based company plans to offer 4.7 million shares at a range of $15-$17 per share. The company has a proposed market cap of $285 million. William Blair and Piper Jaffray are set to manage the deal, for which timing has yet to be announced.
