American Public Education, a provider of exclusively online post-secondary education directed at the needs of the military and public service communities, filed for an IPO Tuesday with the SEC. William Blair and Piper Jaffray are the lead managers on the deal. The company filed to be traded on the NASDAQ with the ticker "APEI." No terms were disclosed in the initial filing.
