Agricultural gene-editing company Cibus files for a $100 million IPO

Cibus, which is developing gene-editing technology for the global seed industry, filed on Friday with the SEC to raise up to $100 million in an initial public offering.

The San Diego, CA-based company was founded in 2001 and booked $3 million in revenue for the 12 months ended September 30, 2018. It plans to list on the Nasdaq under the symbol CBUS. Cibus filed confidentially on September 28, 2018. Morgan Stanley, BofA Merrill Lynch and Piper Jaffray are the joint bookrunners on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
