Clean Energy Fuels, which provides natural gas as fuel for vehicle fleets, priced its initial public offering of 10 million shares at $12, below its proposed $13 to $17 range, on Thursday night. The number of shares sold in the offering represented half of the original deal size as insiders declined to sell the 10 million shares that they had planned to. The offering was priced using WR Hambrecht's "Open IPO" auction process. The stock is expected to begin trading on the NASDAQ under the ticker CLNE on Friday.
