CAI International, an intermodal freight container leasing and management company, priced 5.8 million shares at $15 last night, the midpoint of its proposed $14-$16 range. As the 7th largest container lessor in the world, the company believes it is well positioned to capitalize on the increasing global demand for container shipping, which is being driven by the growing economies of China, India and other emerging markets. Piper Jaffray, William Blair and Jefferies were the underwriters on the deal. Expect the stock to begin trading today on the NYSE under the symbol "CAP."
