JMP Group, a full-service investment banking and asset management firm headquartered in San Francisco, filed for an IPO Wednesday morning. JMP Securities, Merrill Lynch, and Keefe, Bruyette & Woods are going to be the joint book runners on the deal. Terms and timing are yet to be announced.
