JA Solar, a Chinese manufacturer of high-performance solar cells, priced its 15.0 million ADS offering at $15, above its original $12.50-$14.50 range. The company is the seventh solar-related IPO since late 2005 and believes its proprietary technology and recent build in customer orders has it well positioned to benefit from the increasing global demand for solar power. CIBC World Markets and Piper Jaffray were the lead underwriters on the deal and the stock is expected to begin trading on the NASDAQ today under the symbol "JASO."
