Fortress Investment Group, an alternative asset manager that manages private equity funds and hedge funds, filed the terms for its IPO on Friday. The New York-based group plans to offer 34.3 million shares at a range of $16.50-$18.50, giving it a proposed market cap of $7.0 billion. Goldman Sachs will manage the deal along with Banc of America, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers. Timing has yet to be announced.
