Houston Wire & Cable (HWCC), a distributor of specialty wire and cable and related services to the U.S. electrical distribution market, registered for an initial public offering Friday evening. The Houston, TX-based company generated $214 million in sales with an operating margin of 10.3% for the 2005 fiscal year. William Blair and Robert Baird are the lead managers on the deal. Terms and timing have yet to be disclosed.
