Vision correction equipment maker IntraLase files to go public

IntraLase, a maker of lasers, software and related disposables for use in LASIK eye surgery, filed to go public on Friday. To date, IntraLase has sold over 120 lasers and 156,000 disposables and has a 12% market share of the U.S. LASIK procedure volume. Banc of America has been selected to lead manage the IPO. Terms and timing have yet to be determined.
