Torrid, a plus-size women's fashion retailer spun out of Hot Topic, filed on Monday with the SEC to raise up to $100 million in an initial public offering.
The City of Industry, CA-based company was carved out of Hot Topic in 2015 and booked $686 million in sales for the 12 months ended April 30, 2017. It plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol CURV. Torrid filed confidentially on April 13, 2017. BofA Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan and Jefferies are the joint bookrunners on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
