Allied World Assurance, a property and casualty insurer as well as a reinsurer in Bermuda, the United States, Ireland and the United Kingdom, registered for an initial public offering Friday morning. Goldman Sachs is the sole underwriter on the deal. Terms and timing have yet to be disclosed.
