Baby Universe, an online retailer of brand name baby, toddler, and maternity products in the U.S, filed for an initial public offering Thursday morning. For the fiscal year ended December 2004, the Fort Lauderdale, FL-based company generated $14.3 million in net sales and had an operating margin of 3.6%. GunnAllen Financial will underwrite the deal. Timing and terms have yet to be disclosed.
