NYMEX, the world's leading physical commodity-based futures exchange and clearinghouse, priced its highly anticipated IPO of 6.5 million at $59 on Thursday night. The pricing came 18% above the midpoint of the originally proposed $48 to $52 range and well above the revised range of $54 to $57. JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch were the lead underwriters on the deal. The stock is expected to begin trading on the NYSE under the ticker NMX on Friday.
