Chipotle Mexican Grill, a Mexican-themed restaurant offering "fast-casual" dining and majority owned by McDonald's, registered for an initial public offering Tuesday morning. During the past year ended June 2005, the Denver, Colorado-based company generated $542 million in sales with an operating margin of 2.6%. Morgan Stanley and S.G. Cowen will underwrite the deal. Terms and timing have yet to be announced.
