Emageon, an IT provider for digital medical imaging in the health care industry, filed for an IPO with the SEC on Friday. The company will be traded on the NASDAQ National Market under the ticker EMAG. Wachovia Securities and Piper Jaffray are lead underwriters on the deal. Pricing and timing details for the deal will be announced at a later date.
