Medical device maker Cardica files for IPO

Cardica Inc., which designs and manufactures an automated anastomotic device to perform coronary artery bypass surgery, filed for an IPO with the SEC on Friday. AG Edwards and Allen & Company are the lead underwriters on the deal. The company has filed to be traded on the NASDAQ under the ticker CRDC. Pricing terms were not disclosed in the initial filing.
