Surpassing Deutsche Telecom which raised $14 billion in its offering, Italy's #1 electricity provider ENEL raised the most money ever in its IPO pricing 364 million shares at $45.23 for a total of $16.5 billion. The company offered shares both in Italy and the US so it does not qualify as the largest US IPO. $45.23 was the high end of the proposed range. ENEL will begin trading tomorrow.
