Insurance company Anthem prices 48 million shares at $36

Anthem, which underwrites health insurance and offers employer-funded programs under the Blue Cross-Blue Shield brand, priced 48 million shares at $36, near the top end of its $33-$37 range. Anthem had originally planned to sell 28.6 million shares, then increased the amount of shares to 40 million, and once again to 48 million just today. Goldman Sachs lead managed this $1.7 billion deal, one of the largest IPOs this year. The stock will begin trading Tuesday.
