PGT, a manufacturer of residential impact-resistant windows and doors under the WinGuard brand name, registered for an initial public offering Monday morning. In 2005, the Florida-based company generated $333 million in sales with an operating margin of 12.5%. Neither the list of underwriters, terms nor timing has been disclosed.
