Financial services provider Penson Worldwide files for IPO

Penson Worldwide, a provider of a range of securities-processing infrastructure products and services to the securities and investment industry, registered for an initial public offering Wednesday afternoon. The company generated $116 million in total revenue during the 2004 fiscal year with an operating margin of 9.1%. JP Morgan and CS First Boston will be the joint book runners on the deal. Terms and timing have yet to be released.
