Bottled water distributor Mountain Valley Spring withdraws IPO

Mountain Valley Spring, which bottles natural spring water and manufacturers plastic bottles, withdrew its plans for an initial public offering on Tuesday. The Hot Springs National Park, AR-based company was founded in 1871 and booked $25 million in sales for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2011. The company originally filed to raise $23 million in December 2011, and its last amendment was in March 2012. Mountain Valley Spring had planned to list on the NASDAQ under the symbol WATR. Rodman & Renshaw was set to be the bookrunner on the deal.
