Energy exchange NYMEX sets terms for IPO

The New York Mercantile Exchange, or NYMEX, a leading US based commodity futures exchange and clearinghouse, set terms for its highly anticipated IPO on Tuesday. A total of 6 million shares will be offered, including 1.1 million from insiders, at a proposed price range of $48 to $52. At the midpoint of this range, NYMEX will have an initial market cap of $4.3 billion. JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch are the lead underwriters on the deal, which is expected to price the week of November 13th. The company has filed to be traded on the NYSE under the ticker NMX.
