Vertex, an aerospace defense contractor formerly owned by Raytheon, withdrew its IPO on Wednesday citing unfavorable market conditions. The Madison, MS based company had planned to offer 6.25 million shares at a range of $19-$21. CS First Boston was the lead manager for this deal.
