MasterCard Incorporated, the manager of the well-known Mastercard, Maestro and Cirrus payment cards that are used by millions of customers around the world, plans to offer 61.5 million shares at a range of $40 to $43. Assuming the stock prices at the midpoint, the company will have an initial market capitalization of $5.6 billion. Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, HSBC and JPMorgan are the lead underwriters on the deal. Timing has yet to be announced.
