Anthropic PBC, a developer of a foundational LLM known for its AI assistant Claude, filed on Monday with the SEC to raise what we estimate could be $75 billion in an initial public offering. That would put its deal size on par with the largest IPO of all time, SpaceX (SPCX), which raised $75 billion in its June 2026 offering.
Today's filing implies an IPO roadshow launch as soon as the week of November 9, and a potential pricing the week of November 16.
Founded in 2021 and based in San Francisco, Anthropic PBC develops Claude, a family of frontier AI models with a focus on enterprise deployment and model safety. Its models are offered through a developer platform and apps such as Claude Code, Claude Cowork, and Claude.ai. Most of its revenue is consumption-based usage, with subscriptions adding the rest. The company states that Claude has experienced the fastest enterprise adoption of any technology in history. Organizations across sectors deploy Claude to enhance productivity, automate complex workflows, and integrate AI capabilities into their own products. Its four model classes - Mythos (incl. Fable), Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku - serve different combinations of capability, speed, and cost, while the platform provides tools for building, connecting, managing, and deploying AI agents within customer workflows As of September 30, 2026, more than 11,900 customers generated at least $100,000 in trailing-12-month revenue, including every Fortune 10 company and more than half of the Fortune 500. Claude is available directly and through Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Looking ahead, Anthropic intends to advance Claude’s capabilities and safety, expand its compute and international capacity, and extend its technology into scientific research, drug discovery, and robotics.
