Rothe Development, an engineering and mission operations contractor for NASA and other federal agencies, filed on Tuesday with the SEC to raise up to $50 million in an initial public offering.
Rothe Development provides engineering, mission operations, and technical services to NASA, the Department of Defense, and other federal agencies, along with precision calibration services to commercial customers. Its Government Services segment operates through six service lines: NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory, the primary astronaut EVA training and mission simulation facility supporting the ISS and Artemis programs; mission control video systems and NASA TV production; ground systems, telemetry, and facilities infrastructure; cybersecurity; IT services; and engineering services. Its Commercial Services segment provides calibration and metrology services to aerospace, defense, energy, healthcare, and manufacturing customers. The company derives the substantial majority of its revenue from NASA, largely under cost-plus-fee contracts. The company operates primarily in the greater Houston area near NASA's Johnson Space Center.
The Webster, TX-based company was founded in 1967 and booked $122 million in revenue for the 12 months ended June 30, 2026.
