Legion Capital Acquisition, a blank check company targeting aerospace, defense technology, and intelligence, filed on Friday with the SEC to raise up to $200 million in an initial public offering.
The company plans to raise $200 million by offering 20 million units at $10. Each unit consists of one share of common stock, and one-third of one warrant to purchase a share, exercisable at $11.50.
Legion Capital Acquisition is led by CEO Robert LaPenta, the managing partner of family office Aston Capital and the former CFO of SPAC LGL Systems Acquisition, which merged with IronNet (formerly NYSE: IRNT) in 2021. Marc Gabelli, the Vice Chairman and President of Gabelli Group, serves as Chairman. The SPAC plans to target businesses within the aerospace, defense, intelligence, and defense technology sectors.
The Greenwich, CT-based company was founded in 2026. It plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol LCAD.U. BTIG is the sole bookrunner on the deal.
