Aircastle Limited, which acquires and leases high-utility commercial jet aircraft to passenger and cargo airlines in 16 countries, filed for an IPO on Friday. The Stamford, CT based company currently rents out 42 aircraft, generating $33 million in revenue for the company in the first quarter of 2006. JP Morgan, Bear Stearns, and Citigroup are underwriting the deal. The company has not yet announced terms or timing on the deal.
