Vocera Communications, Inc., a provider of mobile communication solutions for hospital and health providers filed on Monday with the SEC to raise up to $80 million in an initial public offering. The San Jose, CA-based company, which was founded in 2000 and booked $69 million in sales for the 12 months ended June 30, 2011, plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol VCRA. J.P. Morgan and Piper Jaffray are the lead underwriters on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
