We are a newly organized blank check company formed to effect a merger, share exchange, asset acquisition, share purchase, reorganization or similar business combination with one or more businesses. Our founder, Omar Asali, is Chairman and CEO of One Madison Group LLC, our sponsor, a privately owned investment company. Mr. Asali previously served as President and CEO of HRG Group (NYSE: HRG), a public diversified holding company, where he also served on the boards of HRG portfolio companies Spectrum Brands (NYSE: SPB) and Fidelity & Guaranty Life (NYSE FGL). While we may pursue an acquisition opportunity in any industry or location, we intend to focus on the consumer sector and consumer-related businesses based predominantly in North America with global reach. Entities related to Blackstone have agreed to act as our strategic partner and may provide debt or equity financing in connection with our initial business combination, but are not required to do so.
