Aspen Neuroscience, a Phase 1/2a biotech developing stem cell therapies for Parkinson’s disease, filed on Friday with the SEC to raise up to $100 million in an initial public offering.
Aspen Neuroscience is developing autologous induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived therapies for neurodegenerative diseases. Its lead candidate, sasineprocel, is a single-dose cell therapy made from cells taken from a patient’s own skin biopsy, designed to replace the dopaminergic neurons lost in Parkinson’s disease. The company is evaluating sasineprocel in an open-label Phase 1/2a trial, in which 15 patients had been dosed as of August 18, 2026, and following feedback from the FDA, anticipates dosing patients in a Phase 3 trial in the second half of 2027. Sasineprocel has received RMAT and Fast Track designations from the FDA.
The San Diego, CA-based company was founded in 2018 and plans to list on the Nasdaq under the symbol ASPE. Aspen Neuroscience filed confidentially on March 30, 2026. Leerink Partners, Piper Sandler, and Stifel are the joint bookrunners on the deal.
