Rainier Acquisition, a blank check company targeting life sciences, raised $75 million by offering 7.5 million units at $10. Each unit consists of one share of common stock, and one-fourth of a warrant to purchase a share, exercisable at $11.50.
Rainier Acquisition is led by CEO and Director Gbola Amusa, who was previously CFO of Metsera (formerly Nasdaq: MTSR), CFO Guy Barudin, a Managing Director at Chardan, and Chairman Isaac Manke, an SVP at OnKure. The SPAC plans to target life sciences businesses, including those in therapeutics, diagnostics, genomics, precision medicine, life science tools, research services, biomanufacturing and related subsectors.
The New York, NY-based company will trade on the Nasdaq under the symbol RNAQU. Chardan Capital Markets acted as sole bookrunner on the deal.
