June 13, 2007

BioFuel Energy, which is building three plants to produce ethanol for Cargill, priced its 9.5 million shares at $10.50 each on Wednesday, as was anticipated in an S-1/A filed earlier in the day. The price represents a 38% discount to the midpoint of the originally announced $16.00 to $18.00 range. The share count includes 4.25 million to be sold in a private placement. JPMorgan, Citi, and A.G. Edwards were the bookrunners on the deal. The stock is expected to begin trading on Thursday on the NASDAQ under the ticker "BIOF."
