Optimer Pharmaceuticals a developer of antibiotics intended to treat gastrointestinal disorders, lowered its range Thursday morning from $12-$14 to $8-$9. The company still plans to sell 5.25 million shares. Joint book runners Piper Jaffray and Jefferies plan to price the deal on Thursday night.
