Biotech Optimer Pharmaceuticals sets terms

Optimer Pharmaceuticals, which is developing anti-infective products, announced on Monday that it plans to offer 5.25 million shares in its IPO. The San Diego-based company plans to issue the shares at a range of $12-$14, which gives it a proposed market cap of $295 million. Piper Jaffray and Jefferies & Company are set to manage the deal. Timing has yet to be announced.
