Semiconductor manufacturer Qimonda AG files for IPO

Qimonda AG, a manufacturer of semiconductor memory products, filed for its IPO on Friday. The Munich, Germany based company is a spinoff of diversified chip manufacturer Infineon Technologies, which will retain its wireless, networking, automotive and industrial divisions. It plans to offer 63 million shares at a range of $16-$18 and has a proposed market cap of $5.8 billion. Credit Suisse, Citigroup and JP Morgan are managing the deal which is expected to price the week of August 7th.
