U.S. Silica prices IPO at $17 midpoint

U.S. Silica, the second largest domestic producer of silica and major producer of fracking sand, raised $200 million by offering 11.8 million shares (75% insider) at $17, the midpoint of the range of $16 to $18. U.S. Silica plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol SLCA. Morgan Stanley, BofA Merrill Lynch and Jefferies & Co. acted as lead managers on the deal.
