Texas-based bank Plains Capital files for an IPO

Plains Capital, which provides banking, mortgage origination and financial advisory services, filed on Wednesday with the SEC to raise up to $140 million in an initial public offering. The Dallas, TX-based company, which was founded in 1987 and booked $367 million in revenues over the last 12 months, plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol PCB. J.P. Morgan is set to be the lead underwriters on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
