Tripwire, which provides software solutions to protect physical and virtual IT infrastructure to over 5,400 customers in 87 countries, filed on Friday with the SEC to raise up to $86 million in an initial public offering. The Portland, OR-based company, which was founded in 1997 and booked $77 million in sales for the 12 months ended March 31st, 2010, plans to list on the NASDAQ under the symbol TPWR. J.P. Morgan and Thomas Weisel Partners are the lead underwriters on the deal, for which pricing terms and timing were not disclosed.
