Madison Square Capital, a newly formed REIT planning to invest in agency securities, postponed its IPO on Thursday because of poor market conditions. The company had originally tried to go public in February 2009, when it postponed its IPO for the first time. Lazard and Stifel Nicolaus were set to be the lead underwriters on the deal.
