2/10/11

Kinder Morgan, which holds GP/LP interests in midstream energy LP Kinder Morgan Energy Partners (NYSE: KMP), priced its IPO at $30, above the $26-$29 range. The company offered 95.5 million shares, 19% more than the 80 million originally anticipated, resulting in a total deal size of $2.9 billion, 30% more than expected and enough to make it the largest ever private-equity backed IPO on a US exchange. Kinder Morgan plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol KMI. Goldman Sachs and Barclays Capital were the bookrunners on the deal.
