Isola Group updates financials, quarterly revenues down 9%

1/30/12

Isola Group, a manufacturer of copper-clad laminate and printed circuit boards (PCBs) used in semiconductors and other electronics, reported financial results through October 1, 2011 in a filing with the SEC on Monday. The Chandler, AZ-based company saw revenues for the most recent quarter decline 9.4% to $143 million. Net income for the nine month period was $7 million. In the filing, it was noted that revenues have been highly volatile, partly because PCB fabricators stop purchasing if they anticipate a recession. Revenues were $603.5 million in 2008, $424.2 million in 2009 and $612.0 million in 2010. Isola Group filed for its IPO in October. UBS and Piper Jaffray are the lead underwriters on the deal.
