Force10 Networks files for a $144 million IPO

Force10 Networks, which provides high performance IP-based networking software and equipment for data centers, filed on Tuesday with the SEC to raise up to $144 million in an initial public offering. The San Jose, CA-based company, which was founded in 1999 as Turin Networks and booked $219 million in sales for the 12 months ended Dec. 31, 2009, plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol FTEN. J.P. Morgan, Deutsche Bank and Barclays Capital are the lead underwriters on the deal. Pricing terms and timing were not disclosed.
